Distort The Scene have an open mind when it comes to music. We will listen to all kinds of music from a variety of genres.
Something innovative and exciting will always come to the fore.
However, certain styles of music are more suited to what we are about, and there are certain characteristics we look for when listening to music.
Genres we like include punk, gothic, metal, indie, rock, alternative, emo, lo-fi, and more.
However, just because music fits in a particular genre does not mean that it is good or that we will like it.
Instead, we look for the following attributes when listening to music :- raw, edgy, experimental, innovative, intense, loud, soft, original, pioneering, political, compelling, passionate, impressive, moving, deep, haunting, emotive, dynamic, convincing, imaginative, unusual and unique.
